Well-known for his role in Game of Thrones and as the superhero Aquaman, Jason Momoa is a world-famous actor. However, recent news has seen him announce he is launching a new crafts sprits brand entitled Meili Vodka.
Eco-friendly vodka fans will be preparing their engraved shot glasses ready to pour, as Momoa has confirmed that his new brand will focus on sustainability.
Meili Vodka will be officially introduced at the official alcohol industry event run by the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America’s called Access Live. The Florida event will take place over three days this coming April, and Momoa has been listed as a keynote speaker.
In a recent statement, the actor spoke about launching his new brand and speaking at the industry event:
“I’m not only proud, but extremely excited to celebrate the launch of Meili Vodka — our new sustainable brand of craft spirits. These three days will centre around the elevation of discovery, shared stories, and the beauty of new frontiers.”
The new label is a collaboration between Momoa and his business partner and friend Blaine Halvorson, who share a 10-year history. While the launch marks the star’s first ever venture into the alcoholic beverage business, Momoa has long been a fan of spirits.
According to Meili Vodka’s official website, for greater sustainability the bottles employed to present the new spirit are made entirely from 100 per cent post-consumer glass. The 40 per cent ABV vodka will be sold in 75cl bottles, and produced in a manufacturing plant based in Montana in the US.
