A newly opened cocktail bar is creating quite a stir among Liverpool’s nightlife crowd.
With echoes of a Miami beach bar, Margaritas is offering a little bit of sunshine after the long summer heatwave has passed. On the grounds of the former Baa Bar on Victoria Street, Margaritas offers a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, reminiscent of Miami’s South Beach.
Entry to the bar is reserved for over 21s only, there are a wide range of signature cocktails on offer, served to the soundtrack of classic Michael Jackson, Madonna and other disco beats.
Featuring dazzling neon glamour, a palm tree-lined staircase, glitter-balls, electric blue and hot pink strip lights and the seclusion of booth seating, the owners are hoping the venue will attract the city’s after work crowd and weekend party-goers. A spokesperson for the venue told The Liverpool Echo:
“We want to create the perfect place for people to come straight after work on Thursdays and Fridays, and we’ll have a fantastic atmosphere and cocktails for the weekend crowd…especially anyone who loves margaritas…”
Some features have remained unchanged, such as the vaulted red brick ceiling, but other have had a complete overhaul. The DJ booth has been wrapped in palm leaves to imitate the Miami ocean front while the individual seating booths are clad in black leather complete with LED-lit tables. The management may even introduce specially engraved cocktail glasses with the Margaritas logo, a fitting addition for their signature cocktail.
