M&S issues early Christmas alcohol stock update

Once again, Marks and Spencer’s (M&S) light-up alcohol snow globes are proving to be very popular with customers – so much so that the retailer has already issued a warning that stock is running low.

As in previous years, it seems customers are racing to stores to purchase the Christmas liqueur, with the company reporting unprecedented demand. M&S has added to its range of snow globe drinks again this year, and shoppers can now choose from clementine gin liqueur, blood orange gin liqueur and Madagascan vanilla rum liqueur – all have an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 20%.

The drinks contain 23-carat gold leaf and can be shaken to create a snow globe effect. They also light up, and one bottle even plays Christmas music.

M&S is urging customers who want to purchase the festive treat to do so as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment. One flavour in particular is proving extremely popular – stores are reportedly very low on stock of the Madagascan vanilla rum liqueur. The company updated customers about the low stock on its social media pages, stating that the last remaining bottles were now in its shops. All three of the new liquors are still available to buy online at Ocado.

The liqueurs have proven to be popular Christmas gifts and could be made even more special with the addition of personalised, engraved drinking glasses. A number of people commented on the social media posts saying they were pleased they had already purchased their bottles; however, some were surprised and disappointed at the earliness of the low-stock announcement.
