With the current social distancing measures remaining in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, there has never been a better time to re-stock your home bar. Released by Healthy Hospo founder, Tim Etherington-Judge in April 2019, this mellow Calvados has been aged in French oak barrels for at least two years. It has no added sugar and comes in a ‘bar-tender friendly’ bottle, so it is extremely light, with a reduced impact on the environment.
Empirical Spirits Ayuuk
Danish distillery, Empirical Spirits released this imaginative spirit in October 2019. It is made with wine-macerated chillies from Oaxaca in Mexico, which are blended with Pilsner malt and purple wheat. The result is a smooth balance of pleasant spice and natural chilli.
Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice
A limited edition gin infused with floral flavours and essences which hopes to capture the ‘aromatic intensity of a midsummer day’. Midsummer Solstice was launched in February 2020 by William Grant & Sons, and was inspired by summer floral blooms.
Mr Black Single Origin Columbia
This is a new expression from Australian coffee liqueur producer, Mr Black. Using the finest coffee beans from Finca Villa Betulia in Colombia, the infusion ‘celebrates the terroir of top-growing regions around the world’.
Schofield’s Dry Vermouth
Developed by Asterley Bros in London, Schofield’s Dry Vermouth has been described as ‘aromatic, fragrant and elegant’. It is a reflection of the Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc and English Bacchus wines along with the 28 types of botanicals that are used to make this smooth aperitif.
